Summary:

As part of our continued growth across Allied Credit, we’re now hiring a Senior Financial Accountant to join the Finance & Treasury team.

This is a key role reporting to a Senior Finance Manager, with responsibility across month‑end close, management and statutory reporting, board deliverables and ongoing process improvement. The role works closely with Treasury, FP&A, Tax and Cash Operations, and is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys ownership, complexity and driving better ways of working to deliver accurate, timely and high‑quality outcomes..

Responsibilities:

  • Owning the month-end financial close, including journals, reconciliations, trial balance review, financial statements and board reporting packs
  • Preparing management and statutory reporting, including annual statutory accounts and audit support
  • Delivering meaningful analysis, forecasting and variance commentary for executive and board reporting
  • Supporting regulatory and compliance reporting and improving reporting processes across group and JV structures
  • Driving process improvement and standardisation, leveraging existing and new finance technology
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to support change and uplift financial practices

About you

  • CPA or CA qualified
  • Strong commercial experience, ideally from a bank, non‑bank lender or large accounting firm
  • Solid technical accounting capability with solid knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards
  • Experience with statutory reporting (ASIC); APRA exposure desirable
  • Comfortable working in complex structures (e.g. trusts, joint ventures, securitisation)
  • Confident communicator with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience with medium to large ERPs (e.g. Sage, Oracle).
