Allegiance Heart & Home Care Pty Ltd is seeking a compassionate, reliable and experienced Dari/Farsi-speaking Support Worker to provide personal care support to an older female client living in Yagoona NSW.
Allegiance Heart & Home Care is an approved aged care and NDIS provider delivering person-centred care across Greater Sydney. We support older people and people living with disability to remain safe, independent and well supported in their own homes. Our services include personal care, domestic assistance, nursing, allied health, community access, respite, care management and home support services.
We are looking for a support worker who is respectful, patient, culturally sensitive and confident in providing personal care to a client with high-care needs.
Shift Schedule
- Monday: 9:00am – 11:30am
- Tuesday: 9:00am – 12:00pm
- Wednesday: 9:00am – 12:00pm
- Friday: 9:00am – 11:30am
Location: Yagoona NSW
Client preference: Arabic-speaking female support worker preferred
Start date: As soon as possible
About the Role
The successful support worker will provide in-home personal care and daily living support in line with the client’s care plan. The role requires a gentle, respectful and professional approach, with a strong focus on dignity, safety and cultural appropriateness.
Duties may include:
- Assistance with showering, dressing and grooming
- Toileting and continence support
- Mobility and transfer assistance
- Meal preparation and meal support
- Light domestic assistance related to the client’s care needs
- Companionship and emotional support
- Monitoring the client’s wellbeing during shifts
- Reporting any changes, concerns or incidents to the Care Manager
- Completing clear and accurate progress notes after each shift
Essential Requirements
- Dari/Farsi-speaking ability preferred
- Experience providing personal care in aged care, disability or community care
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent preferred
- Current Police Check
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Valid work rights in Australia
- Reliable transport or ability to travel to Yagoona
- Compassionate, respectful and professional approach
- Ability to follow care plans and organisational policies
