Alium Works, in partnership with a high-profile international client, is seeking an experienced and resilient Senior HSE Advisor to join a dynamic project delivery team across nationally significant infrastructure, energy, and data centre projects.
About the role
You’ll lead day-to-day HSE across live project sites, taking ownership of safety systems, critical risk controls, audits and investigations. You’ll work closely with project teams, principal contractors and subcontractors in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
You’ll be based primarily at Macquarie Park (HQ), with travel required to Eastern Creek, Kemps Creek, and Lane Cove sites, and occasional interstate travel.
What you’ll be doing
- Developing and maintaining project-specific safety systems and the annual OHS Management Plan
- Conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations with timely corrective action close-out
- Managing high-risk activities and embedding critical risk controls with site teams
- Engaging contractors, clients, and delivery partners to drive safety performance
- Preparing and delivering HSE reports to Alium Works and Schneider Electric management teams
- Coaching and leading members of the team as required
- Maintaining a strong site presence, including conflict resolution and de-escalation where needed
About you
You’re confident on site and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders in fast-paced project environments. You’re organised, calm under pressure, and strong on follow-through.
What you’ll need
- 5+ years’ project-based HSE experience in construction, energy, infrastructure, rail, or another high-risk sector
- Diploma of WHS or equivalent industry experience, or willingness to obtain
- Construction White Card
- Investigation training
- Proven experience with audits, inspections, investigations, and safety reporting
- Strong stakeholder management skills including principal contractors
- Strong communication, influencing, and conflict de-escalation skills
- Demonstrated experience leading a team
- Solid computer skills and confidence managing multiple systems and digital platforms
- Willingness to travel between sites and occasionally interstate
