As Director of Sales and Marketing, you will play a crucial role in leading the continued growth and positioning of our newly opened, yet already established hotel. You will be responsible for refining and executing innovative sales and marketing strategies, strengthening strategic partnerships across the precinct, and leading a high-performing team to drive revenue, market share, and brand presence. A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
• Responsible for the overall commercial performance of the hotel and its integrated food and beverage venues
• Leads total revenue strategy across rooms, meetings & events, restaurants, bars and activations, ensuring alignment between sales, marketing, brand positioning and operational delivery
• Identify new revenue streams and partnership opportunities
• Position venues as standalone destinations, not just hotel amenities
• Lead campaign development for seasonal promotions, major events and brand activations
• Drive local market engagement to increase repeat visitation and brand loyalty
• Drive corporate account acquisition and retention
• Oversee social media strategy, influencer engagement and content creation
• Protect and elevate brand reputation across all channels
• Lead PR, media relationships and partnership opportunities
• Managing daily sales activities and coaching your team to deliver to their full potential
• Hitting all personal and team sales goals to help us maximise profitability
• Creating and implementing sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume, food and beverage and banquet sales
• Producing and reviewing monthly reports to monitor performance
• Leading marketing efforts to up-sell guests on hotel services, offerings, and amenities
What we need from you
• Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in marketing or related field
• Four or more years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting with direct supervisory experience over a sales team
• Strategic and commercially driven
• Strong understanding of hospitality consumer behaviour
• Creative yet results-focused
• High-level negotiation and communication skills
• Data-driven decision maker
• Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends required
• Must speak local language(s)
