Agri Labour Australia (ALA) is seeking a motivated and people-focused Site Coordinator to join our team onsite at our host client in Smithton.
This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you will act as ALA’s onsite ambassador, supporting workforce performance, safety and worker wellbeing at our host client’s site. You will play a key role in ensuring our employees are safe, supported, productive and meeting site expectations, while maintaining strong relationships with host client management.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager at ALA, you will oversee the day-to-day coordination of ALA workers onsite, including Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) workers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Site & Performance Coordination
- Conducting regular site walkthroughs and engaging with workers and supervisors
- Managing attendance and absenteeism
- Addressing performance matters in line with company and host client expectations
- Maintaining strong communication between ALA and host client stakeholders
Workplace Health & Safety
- Promoting and modelling a strong safety culture
- Supporting injury management and ensuring timely incident response
- Conducting employee interactions and task observations
- Participating in safety and operational meetings
Worker Welfare & Support
- Providing practical support relating to accommodation, transport and general wellbeing
- Conducting regular welfare check-ins in line with PALM requirements
- Assisting workers to settle into the local community
- Acting as a key point of contact for worker concerns
About you
You are organised, approachable and confident working in an operational site environment. You enjoy building relationships and solving problems before they escalate. You will also have:
- Experience in a coordination, supervisory or team leadership role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
- Current Driver’s Licence (essential)
- Experience working with culturally diverse teams (highly regarded)
- WHS knowledge or training (desirable)
