About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to support the Agri Labour and Health Plus People businesses. This hands-on role focuses on accurate financial reporting, payroll and statutory compliance, cash management, and PALM Scheme reconciliations across multiple entities.

You will work closely with the Financial Controller and internal stakeholders to ensure financial processes are completed accurately, compliantly, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Month-End

  • Complete month-end accounting for two subsidiaries
  • Assist with main entity month-end, including accruals and prepayments
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, forecasting and cashflow reporting
  • Support budgeting and monthly ALA reporting

Cash & Credit Card Management

  • Produce daily cash reports
  • Manage the Westpac debtors invoicing facility and monthly reconciliations
  • Administer corporate credit cards and oversee offshore processing

Payroll & Statutory Compliance

  • Manage fortnightly payroll for approximately 100 internal staff
  • Prepare and lodge PAYG, BAS, and Payroll Tax
  • Complete annual reconciliations and statutory reporting

PALM Scheme Reconciliations

  • Allocate transactions and perform weekly reconciliations of PALM-related ledgers.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Liaise with internal teams and prepare reconciliation reports

Reporting & Audit Support

  • Produce overhead and management reporting using Excel and dashboards
  • Assist with month-end, year-end close, and audit preparation
  • Maintain accurate financial records in line with company policies

Skills & Capabilities

Essential

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Desirable

  • 5+ years’ experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar finance role
  • Strong Excel skills and experience using financial systems
  • Exposure to recruitment or workforce services
