About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to support the Agri Labour and Health Plus People businesses. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely month-end reporting, payroll and statutory compliance, cash management, and PALM scheme reconciliations across multiple entities.
You will work closely with the Financial Controller and internal stakeholders, developing a strong understanding of the business and providing reliable financial support.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete month-end accounting for two subsidiary entities
- Assist with month-end close for the main entity, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with forecasting, cashflow reporting, and budgeting activities
- Produce daily cashflow reports and manage the Westpac debtors invoicing facility, including monthly reconciliations
- Manage corporate credit cards, including reconciliations, new requests, and cancellations, and oversee offshore processing
- Manage fortnightly payroll for approximately 100 internal staff
- Prepare and lodge PAYG, BAS (weekly, monthly and quarterly), and Payroll Tax
- Complete PALM scheme payroll vs general ledger reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Assist with audit preparation and internal reporting requirements
About You
- 7 plus years’ experience in a similar accounting role
- Strong experience across month-end, payroll, and statutory compliance
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (essential)
- Experience with MYOB and/or Xero
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- CPA/CA qualification not required for this role
