The Finance Team plays a critical role in supporting this mission by ensuring our financial systems, reporting and compliance frameworks remain robust, transparent and aligned with legislative and funding requirements.

About the Opportunity

Step into a key role supporting the accuracy, integrity and compliance of ADA Australia’s financial operations. Working closely with the Senior Finance Officer, you’ll assist with reconciliations, reporting, purchasing, payments and the maintenance of financial systems, while helping ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and staff are supported to follow best‑practice financial procedures.

In this role, you will:

  • Reconcile credit card transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Assist with GST, FBT, BAS and other statutory returns.
  • Prepare weekly payment runs in line with organisational policies.
  • Support month‑end and year‑end processes and reporting.
  • Manage the Accounts inbox to ensure timely responses.
  • Contribute to financial system maintenance, staff support and continuous improvement.

About You

You’re organised, detail‑focused and confident working across a range of financial tasks. You bring strong communication skills and enjoy supporting others to understand financial processes.

You will bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in finance, accounting or bookkeeping.
  • At least three years’ experience in a similar finance role.
  • Proficiency with financial systems (ideally WIISE) and MS Office.
  • Strong planning, prioritisation and accuracy.
  • High‑level interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting financial procedures and contributing to a positive team culture.

Essential requirements

  • Current National Criminal History Certificate (less than 3 years old).
