[TEST] Research Scientist – Remote

Role: Research Officer (Neuroscience)

Location: Parkville / Heidelberg, VIC (Hybrid)

Reports to: Laboratory Head

About the Role:Join the world-renowned Florey Institute to lead cutting-edge research into [e.g., Dementia/Epilepsy/Stroke]. You will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of research projects, from experimental design to high-impact publication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct complex in vivo and in vitro experiments using advanced imaging and electrophysiology.
• Analyze high-dimensional datasets using MATLAB, Python, or R.
• Secure research funding through grant application authorship (NHMRC/ARC).
• Mentor PhD students and junior Research Assistants.

Requirements:

• PhD in Neuroscience, Biology, or a related field.
• Proven track record of first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Strong technical proficiency in neural circuit tracing or behavioral paradigms.
