About the Role:
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Mine Coordinator and Superintendents in coordinating the mining operations. You will be providing organisational support, supervision and direction to the project to deliver high standards and levels of productivity. The Shift Supervisor provides leadership and builds a cohesive and highly skilled operations team to achieve scheduled targets and deliverables in a safe, productive and profitable manner.
About You:
To be successful, you will have 3 or more years experience as an underground Shift Supervisor and possess the following skills and experience:
- Proven commitment in driving and upholding high standards and a commitment to a strong Zero Harm culture
- Previous experience preparing daily and weekly work schedules and assigning and communicating priorities
- Experience overseeing the allocation of resources including employees, equipment and materials
- Proven experience ensuring compliance with Quality Assurance (QA) requirements
- Commitment to liaising with Maintenance peers to achieve required plant availability and optimise productivity levels
- Experience communicating shift performance and other relevant information to the Mine Coordinator and Superintendent and other Shift Supervisors
- Skilled at assisting the Mine Coordinator and Superintendent in identifying potential risks or upside opportunities to achieve scheduled mining production
- Proficient in delivering team compliance with policies, QA deliverables, statutory regulations, and mining standards
You will hold the following qualifications and licences:
- NSW Underground Mine Supervisor Certificate of Competency and Practicing Certificate or Western Australian Underground Supervisors Statutory Certificate of Competency
- Current Australian C-Class Driver’s Licence
