RTC Trade Services performs residential and commercial work to government and private sector clients. Our Trade Services team is a diverse team made up of skilled carpenters, painters, plasterers, tilers, concreters, handypersons, and trade assistants that work collaboratively to deliver high quality, safe and cost-effective outcomes that exceed customer expectations.
The Opportunity:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Carpenter or Handyperson to join our team based from our office in Cooee working throughout the Northern region.
In this role you will work across multiple projects and sites, working on a variety of residential works from small maintenance jobs to full refurbishments, with no two days being the same.
Standard working weeks are 38 hours Monday to Friday.
This role will enable you to utilise your skills and experience to deliver high-quality work whilst providing an essential service to the local community.
About You:
The successful candidate will demonstrate high-level carpentry skills and have previous experience in residential maintenance.
With multiple projects on the go at any one time, you will thrive working in a fast-paced environment and effective at working to meet agreed timeframes. You will be a strong communicator and have the people skills required to interact with our diverse client base. All work is allocated and signed off via software, with a sound level of computer skills being required.
You will always value the safety of yourself and others around you.
Requirements:
• Certificate III in Carpentry(or equivalent qualification) or demonstrated experience as a handyperson.
• Successful completion of a medical check including Alcohol and other Drugs screening.
• Drivers Licence
• Provide your own tools of the trade
• OHS General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
Due to the environment that we work in the following is also required, if you do not have these you are still encouraged to apply, and we can assist you to obtain prior to commencement:
