We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our Petone team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost management, including estimating, budgeting, cost control, and value engineering.
The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
- Monitor project costs and provide regular reports to project managers
- Conduct value engineering studies to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Review and analyze project contracts and change orders
- Prepare and negotiate claims for additional compensation or time extensions
- Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Provide guidance and support to project teams on cost-related issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost management for construction projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cost management software
Salary range: $95,000 – $115,000 per annum
