Kew, Victoria 3101, Australia • Full-time

Description

Clinical Consultants – Early Childhood, School-Age & Behaviour Support

Full-time or Part-time | Inner East Melbourne

Make a difference where it matters most.

At Learning for Life Autism Centre (L4Life), we’re on a mission: to create a world where all autistic and neurodivergent children can thrive and live the life they choose.

We’ve been doing this since 2004 – delivering evidence-based, child-focused services in homes, classrooms, kindergartens, and communities across Melbourne. Our work is guided by best-practice, data-informed strategies, strengthened by research, and driven by the belief that every child deserves access to high-quality, inclusive support.

We’re growing – and we’re looking for Clinical Consultants who want to bring their expertise, curiosity, and heart to a team that values trust, respect, equity, joy, and kindness.

What makes this role different?

  • Variety & impact – You’ll work across Early Intervention, School-Age Consultancy, and Behaviour Support, tailoring approaches to each child, each family, each setting.
  • Partnership at the core – We work alongside parents, educators, and support teams to create real-world change, not just session-by-session gains.
  • A workplace that invests in you – From structured supervision and internal training to leadership pathways, we’re committed to your professional growth and wellbeing.
  • A values-led culture – Here, your voice matters. We collaborate, celebrate wins (big and small), and hold each other accountable to our mission.

Your week might include:

  • Designing and reviewing individualised programs for toddlers in home-based early intervention.
  • Coaching kinder or school staff on inclusive practices that stick.
  • Developing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans (if registered as a BSP).
  • Facilitating social skills groups and running parent feedback sessions.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to track progress, adjust strategies, and share learning.

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree-qualified in Psychology, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Special Education, Behaviour Analysis, or similar.
  • At least 3 years’ experience working with autistic or neurodivergent children/young people.
  • Eligible for registration with a relevant professional body – or NDIS BSP registration where required.
  • Strong communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to child-focused, evidence-based practice.

Why join us?

  • Purpose with impact – Your work directly changes outcomes for children and their communities.
  • Professional development – Ongoing training, peer collaboration, and leadership pathways.
  • Flexibility – Full-time or part-time roles, with work across centre, home, school, and community settings.
  • Supportive culture – Supervision built into your week, a leadership team that listens, and colleagues who have your back.

Location: Inner East Melbourne with travel to schools, kinders, and community sites.
