Bore Runner
Reporting to the Station Managers you will be required to undertake repairs and maintain station bores, windmills, and other watering facilities to guarantee continual water supply to all stock.
Responsibilities
• Once a fortnight bore check at Bulka Station, trough inspections, tank inspections and lick inspections.
• Once a week bore run around Yougawalla Station (subject to change). Generally, allow for 2 days.
• Monitoring of water points online through the Farmbot monitoring site.
• Maintenance and repair of solar bore set ups. Support of additional staff to pull bore if and when necessary.
• Bore generator general repairs and servicing.
• Maintain bore records such as job completion dates.
• Keeping tank surrounds and solar frame areas free from overgrowth
Mechanical Maintenance
• General servicing and repairs on machinery and Utes.
• House generator services
• Undertake fortnightly lists of required parts and consumables in the workshop so they can be ordered by the Manager and kept stocked.
• Report any maintenance issues or breakdowns to Managers.
Livestock Duties
• Support livestock program and practice.
• Once a month lick runs in a crane truck (with assistance of another employee if required).
• Undertake station hand duties as required or as assigned.
Health and Safety
• Support and contribute to a positive health and safety culture.
• Comply with all requirements of work health and safety legislation and station health and safety policies, procedures, and work instructions.
People
• Maintaining a high level of communication and liaison with our customers, management, and other team members.
