The Opportunity
The festive season is one of the most magical times of year at The Nunhead Gardener.
We’re looking for two enthusiastic and hands-on Christmas Tree Assistants to join our team and help spread festive cheer across our shops.
You’ll help customers find their perfect tree, prepare them for transport, and keep the Christmas area looking beautiful. It’s fast-paced, rewarding, and full of festive spirit!
This is a temporary, seasonal role ideal for someone energetic, customer-focused, and happy working outdoors.
Key Dates
You’ll need to be available for all of the following weekends (plus additional midweek shifts communicated in advance):
- Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 November 2025
- Friday 28, Saturday 29 & Sunday 30 November 2025
- Friday 5, Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 December 2025
- Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 December 2025
Typical hours: 9:30am – 6:30pm (variations arranged in advance).
Your Responsibilities
Deliver friendly, engaging service to help customers choose their Christmas tree
Lift, trim, and net trees for transport
Prepare trees for delivery and assist with loading
Keep the Christmas area clean and tidy
Support the wider shop team as needed
Most importantly — spread plenty of Christmas cheer!
About You
Physically fit and comfortable with manual outdoor work
Confident communicator with great customer service skills
Friendly, proactive, and able to work independently
Full driving licence desirable but not essential
Must be 18+ years old
