Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Allied Health Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our healthcare professionals to provide support and assistance to participants. The role requires a strong commitment to participant care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

This position has potential from either part time (min 25hrs) or full-time hours dependent on the successful candidate and their needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare professionals in the delivery of participant care, including but not limited to physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
  • Provide support to patients during therapy sessions, including setting up equipment, monitoring progress, and providing encouragement.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
  • Supporting Allied Health team in preparing therapy areas and equipment
  • Assisting with implementing therapy programs and interventions

Qualifications:

  • Certificate or higher in Allied Health or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
