1300TempFence is a national leader in temporary fencing and event infrastructure, supporting some of Australia’s largest and most complex events. We’re now creating a new Event Manager – NSW role to take full ownership of our Events division in the state.

This is a senior, hands-on role combining sales leadership, operational delivery and on-site event management, with full accountability for growth, performance and client experience.

About the Role

As Event Manager – NSW, you will own the Events division end-to-end, from winning work and managing key client relationships through to overseeing planning, logistics and on-site execution.

You will hold P&L responsibility, work closely with operations teams, attend major events, and act as the primary point of contact for event clients across NSW.

This role suits someone who thrives on autonomy, accountability and variety — equally comfortable in front of clients, on-site at events, and working with leadership to grow a business unit.

Key Responsibilities

Sales, Growth & Client Relationships

  • Own the Events division P&L and deliver revenue and margin targets
  • Build, manage and grow relationships with key event stakeholders
  • Identify and convert new event clients not currently using our services
  • Promote and cross-sell our full range of products and services
  • Maintain accurate client and event data in the CRM

Event Planning & Operations

  • Oversee planning, budgeting and delivery of events end-to-end
  • Coordinate logistics including equipment, staffing, timelines and safety
  • Proactively resolve operational issues to ensure seamless delivery
  • Engage and negotiate with external suppliers and vendors

On-Site Event Management

  • Attend events to oversee setup, execution and pack-down
  • Act as the on-site client representative and problem-solver
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements

Strategy & Market Development

  • Work with the executive team to grow and evolve the Events division
  • Build a strong local portfolio of event clients in NSW
  • Represent the business at industry and networking events

About You

  • Proven experience in event management, equipment hire or a related industry
  • Strong commercial mindset with experience owning or influencing P&L outcomes
  • Confident managing both sales and operational delivery
  • Highly organised, able to juggle multiple events and priorities
  • Comfortable being hands-on and attending events as required
  • Strong communicator with a professional, customer-focused approach
  • Experience using CRM systems and managing projects end-to-end
