Founded in 1972, we are a profit-for-purpose organisation working across Queensland to deliver expert clinical services, comprehensive education programs, and dedicated counselling support.

We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Education and Community Engagement Officer to join our Education team. If you’re experienced in delivering inclusive community education, building partnerships, and creating real impact, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

As our Education and Community Engagement Officer, you will:

– Coordinate and deliver school- and community-based education on relationships, sexuality, and reproductive health within your designated region.

– Develop and implement engaging education programs tailored to diverse audiences, including people with disability, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and LGBTQIA+ individuals.

– Build and maintain partnerships with schools, community-controlled organisations, NGOs, and government agencies to strengthen the reach and impact of education programs.

– Facilitate parent and carer sessions, professional development workshops, and group or one-on-one education.

– Contribute to the planning, monitoring, and evaluation of projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with quality standards and organisational goals.

– Collaborate with the Communications team to promote project outcomes and community engagement initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

To thrive in this role, you will have:

– Qualifications in education, health, social work, community development, or a related field.

– Experience in school-based or community education, ideally with a focus on sexual and reproductive health.

– The ability to engage effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, including people with disability, culturally diverse communities, and people with complex needs.

– Strong facilitation skills and the ability to deliver programs in both group and individual settings, face-to-face and online.

– Experience in stakeholder consultation, program evaluation, and reporting.

– A collaborative, motivated attitude with a commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
