• Fixed-term (12-months), part-time (3-days) positions available commencing July 2025.

About the Role

Primary responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the activities of the School are operated effectively and efficiently, providing a quality service to the students and staff.

• Lecturing and unit coordination in agreed subject areas including managing teaching and assessment of units being delivered.

• Producing research and scholarship that informs learning and teaching, and curriculum innovation and development.

• Providing administrative support to the Head of School, Course Coordinators, and other academic staff.

• Build the profile and reputation of Excelsia with stakeholders, the community and potential students.

Selection Criteria

Qualifications and Professional Standing:

• Hold a PhD qualification in relevant Education discipline (Early Childhood Education would be an advantage).

• Lecturing and teaching experience (3+ years experience would be an advantage).

Essential:

• Committed Christian, involved in a local congregation.

• Demonstrated experience in teaching at a tertiary level, learning, scholarship and research, including curriculum development and modification.

• An understanding of current and emerging trends in Early Childhood Education and training.

• Ability to communicate effectively with students; ability to communicate and work effectively and cooperatively with colleagues.

• Technological literacy and experience in developing online communication tools and previous experience in online education is desirable.

• Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to diversity and ability to work with students, staff, and administrators, including pastoral skills in mentoring staff and supporting students.
