About You – Who is an appropriate applicant?
We are looking for Support Worker with a can-do attitude, who can work with individuals as part of a productive support team. You will follow individual plans and understand the importance of consistency in assisting people to achieve a great life. We are looking for people who have:
- Patience, resilience, and flexibility
- Good social skills and ability to relate well to others
- The ability to work with people who present with challenging behaviours
- Commitment to professional development
- An ability to work actively as part of a team and individually to ensure service quality
- Good English language ability (written and spoken)
- Energetic and enthusiastic
- A current full driver’s licence or working towards it.
- NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (level 2 to 4) or equivalent is preferred but this is not mandatory
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- NZQA Certificate in Health & Wellbeing, or relevant experience in the community or social services sector.
- Knowledge of disability services, mental health and addiction services, safety legislation, and sector standards.

Appointment and ongoing employment will be conditional upon criminal records/police checks – you must declare any convictions and/or pending charges on your application form. This will include checks under the Childrens Act 2014 and may include CYRAS vetting via Oranga Tamariki for some roles
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $24.00 – $29.25 per hour
