Key Accountabilities

Reporting to the State Manager – VIC, the Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships across our full suite of mortgage products. The BDM is will also act as a business coach to your network of brokers and proactively help, guide, and advise their panel of brokers to achieve revenue targets.

You will be responsible for

  • Provide a delightful experience to brokers and their customers brokers in relation to new loan enquiries, applications, or existing loans
  • Proactively manage a sales funnel and follow up sales leads and opportunities to completion
  • Help educate brokers around all loan opportunities and how it can drive their business growth
  • From time to time, support broader business initiatives to improve business performance, efficiencies and broker / customer satisfaction.

Skills & experiences you’ll bring the team

  • Demonstrated excellence in business development, sales and relationship management with proven experience in Mortgage lending and third-party intermediary spaces
  • Experience in the banking, non-bank and finance industries, specifically within the broker space
  • Current relationships and contacts within the broker market
  • Proven experience in growing a panel of brokers
  • Proven track record in meeting or exceeding targets
  • Working knowledge of the banking industry, Australian housing market, and regulatory environment
  • Ability to understand complex industry segments and utilise this understanding to develop initiatives to drive growth
  • Understanding of financial reports and demonstrated numerical and statistical analysis skills
  • Sound understanding of and experience in project management methodologies
