What are cookies?
Employment Hero (also referred to as the “Employment Hero“, “we” or “us“) uses cookies on the Employment Hero Platforms. A cookie is a very small text document, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are created when your browser loads a particular website. The website sends information to the browser which then creates a text file. Every time the user goes back to the same website, the browser retrieves and sends this file to the website’s server. Web Beacons / Gifs
We may from time to time employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons), that help us better manage content on our Employment Hero Platforms by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on our Employment Hero Platforms and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence.
