Xerocon Sydney 2023: Terms & Conditions
About the Promotion
1. This Promotion is offered by Employment Hero (ABN 11 160 047 709) (Employment Hero).
2. As set out in these Terms & Conditions, this Promotion provides the opportunity for an Eligible Participant to receive a Reward (Promotion).
3. The Promotion will be conducted during Xerocon 2023 in Sydney, Australia (Xerocon) on the 23rd and 24th of August 2023 (Promotion Period).
Who can enter?
4. The Promotion is open to all attendees of Xerocon during the Promotion Period (Eligible Participant).
How to enter?
5. To enter, Eligible Participants scan the QR code made available at the event and enter their details via the form on the following page – https://employmenthero.com/xerocon-sydney/. Eligible Participants will then be able to spin the Employment Hero Prize Wheel at Xerocon and receive 1 Reward.
Reward
6. Eligible Participants who spin the Employment Hero Prize Wheel will win 1 of the following prizes based on their spin:
- Mr. Consistent Mixer – 750ml bottle
- Boody – pair of socks
- Beforeyouspeak – coffee packet
- Employment Hero – varied merch
(each, separately, a “Reward”)
7. The Reward will be given to the winner after the Eligible Participant spins the Employment Hero Prize Wheel.
8. In the event that a particular Reward listed above runs out, the Eligible Participant will be able to ‘Spin Again’ for a chance to win a different Reward.
9. Employment Hero has an absolute right to add to, change, or remove from, items from the available Rewards list until it is won by an Eligible Participant.
10. If the spin of the Employment Hero Prize Wheel is inconclusive or deemed by Employment Hero to have been carried out in an improper or unfair manner, Employment Hero will have the right to disqualify the Eligible Participant or require them to spin the wheel again.
Other Terms and Conditions that apply
11. Standard Employment Hero Platform Terms and Conditions may apply.
12. This Promotion is managed in accordance with the Employment Hero Privacy Policy.
Liability
13. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, Employment Hero (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, for any loss or damage arising in connection with this Promotion, including any:
- technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under Employment Hero’s control);
- theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
- entries that are late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after Employment Hero receives it) due to any reason beyond Employment Hero’s reasonable control;
- variation in Reward value to that stated in these terms; or
- tax liability incurred by an Eligible Participant.
General Terms
14. The Reward is not transferable to any other products or cash.
15. Separate terms and conditions will apply to the Eligible Participant’s use of the Reward. These terms will be set out by the Reward provider.
16. The Reward is granted ‘as is’ and EH does not provide a warranty of the Reward’s merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
17. Employment Hero reserves the right to terminate the Promotion early in full or in part at its absolute discretion.
18. Laws may apply to you or to Employment Hero as a result of your specific location. If this is the case, and if those laws are inconsistent with any part of these terms, those laws will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
19. Severability: If any part or provision of these terms are invalid, unenforceable or in conflict with the law, that part or provision is replaced with a provision which, as far as possible, accomplishes the original purpose of that part or provision. The remainder of these terms will be binding on the parties.
20. Governing Law: These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
