Handyman

Zerella Fresh is one of Australia’s largest grower and packers of Carrots, Onions and Potatoes supplying Australia’s leading supermarket chains plus independents and exports.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Handyman to join our team on a full-time permanent basis at our Parilla site in South Australia.

Duties include:

• Provide basic maintenance services of the Parilla work site and company managed accommodation throughout the Mallee Region.
• Ensure that all maintenance requests are actioned in a timely, respectful, safe and cost-effective manner.
• Assist with the inspection and maintenance of company accommodation and common areas within the Parilla work site
• Undertake scheduled preventative maintenance for all company facilities and accommodation.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of maintenance projects, working in partnership with the WHS department.
• General building maintenance as required, e.g. Replacing of general fixtures, Patch & Painting, Minor plumbing or carpentry as required.
• Assist with induction and overseeing of contractors for facilities and maintenance projects or repairs as required.
• Assist with all other associated facility or accommodation tasks including but not limited to: General gardening duties, Pest Control, Relocation &/or assembly of furniture, General cleaning duties, General workshop duties
• All other requirements as directed to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

• Experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or accommodation setting.
• Unrestricted Class C Driver’s License (essential).
• High Risk Work License (desirable).
• Trade qualifications (desirable).
• Ability to use various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work with a variety of IT software platforms.
• Cultural adaptability and a willingness to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• A willingness to be hands on and participate in a broad range of duties, a strong work ethic is essential.
