Based in Hervey Bay, Queensland, casual position is designed to enhance the well-being and safety of clients, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance and care. The role is vital for maintaining high standards of health and safety within the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to clients, assisting with daily living activities and promoting independence.
  • Monitor and report on clients’ health and safety needs, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs.
  • Assist in the training and orientation of new staff members, sharing best practices in client care.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a support worker or similar role within the community care sector.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Cert 3 in individual support or equivalent and above.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Relevant certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to client care.
