We are now looking for a commercially astute Sales Account Manager to build on this foundation, unlocking further growth opportunities across an already active and high-potential territory.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of an established customer base while identifying new opportunities to expand distribution, increase share of wallet, and strengthen market presence.

About the Role

The NSW Sales Account Manager will manage and grow a portfolio of independent retail customers across Sydney Metro, with structured regional travel required.

You will focus on:

  • Growing core range distribution
  • Driving seasonal programs
  • Increasing in-store presence and merchandising impact
  • Identifying and converting new business opportunities

This is a field-based role requiring autonomy, strong planning, and disciplined account management.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Account Management

  • Strengthen existing customer relationships across NSW
  • Execute structured call cycles across metro and regional territories
  • Drive range expansion and improve category penetration in-store

New Business Development

  • Identify and convert new retail opportunities across Sydney and regional NSW
  • Build on Yatsal’s existing footprint to grow market share

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Deliver against state sales targets
  • Execute seasonal campaigns and promotional programs
  • Present new ranges and drive forward ordering

Commercial Management

  • Manage budgets and sales forecasts
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends
  • Provide structured reporting and insights

Product Portfolio

You will represent a broad and fast-moving range including:

  • Electrical
  • Kitchen & Home
  • Hardware
  • Health
  • Pet Products
  • Automotive
  • Toys & Seasonal Merchandise

What We Are Looking For

Industry Experience

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in wholesale general merchandise or similar
  • Strong understanding of independent retail and discount variety channels

Commercial Acumen

  • Strong understanding of margin, volume and promotional mechanics
  • Ability to analyse performance and adjust approach
  • Confident in negotiation and closing

Relationship Builder

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Customer-first mindset
  • Ability to influence store owners and internal stakeholders

Self-Driven & Structured

  • Highly organised with strong planning capability
  • Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
  • Able to manage regional travel and overnight stays

Travel Requirement

  • Sydney Metro coverage
  • Approximately 4 nights per month regional travel
  • Structured regional runs built into call cycles
