About the Role 

The Clinical and Quality Coordinator plays a pivotal role in strengthening Yadu Health’s clinical governance, safety, and quality systems. This position leads Infection Prevention and Control, supports accreditation readiness, and ensures the organisation maintains high standards of clinical compliance and documentation. 

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to): 

  • Leading Infection Prevention and Control activities, education, and compliance across YHAC clinics. 

  • Implementing, evaluating, and maintaining Yadu’s clinical document management system, ensuring evidence based and up-to-date forms. 

  • Supporting accreditation processes, including preparation of evidence, stock management, and quality improvement activities. 

  • Coordinating monthly Quality Assurance and iCCnet compliance reporting. 

  • Facilitating clinical incident and complaint follow-up in partnership with the Practice Manager. 

This role requires someone who is proactive, culturally respectful, and deeply aligned with our mission to support First Nations health outcomes. 

About You 

To thrive in this position, we are looking for candidates who can meet the following criteria: 

  • AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Senior Enrolled Nurse. 

  • Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience, including experience in acute health care and quality assurance. 

  • Knowledge and experience in Infection Prevention and Control. 

  • Understanding of quality, risk, and patient safety systems in a healthcare environment. 

  • Experience in clinical governance of documentation is highly desirable. 

  • Experience working with Aboriginal communities is highly desirable or a strong commitment to culturally safe practice. 

  • Have ongoing permanent work rights in Australia without needing employer sponsorship. 

  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
