Xenith is a leading, technical consulting firm supporting the mining and resources sector across the full asset lifecycle. With a strong and growing client base Australia-wide, we are seeking a Principal and/or Senior Mining Engineer –Metals with Underground and/or Opencut experience to strengthen our senior technical capability and provide trusted expertise to our clients.

Based in Brisbane, these roles are part of our Australia East consulting team and will contribute to maintaining and expanding our reputation for technical excellence, credibility and independence in mine planning and reserve estimation.

The Opportunity

This is a consulting role suited to highly experienced mining engineers ready to operate at a Principal and/or Senior level within a dynamic, client-facing environment.

You will:

• Work in conjunction with your Team Leader to identify new target clients

• Build and strengthen client relationships

• Deliver high-impact technical solutions across metalliferous mining projects

• Manage complex projects from concept through to completion

• Collaborate with industry leaders and multidisciplinary teams

• Mentor and inspire the next generation of our team of professionals

You will remain close to the technical work while contributing to broader project and client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver mine design, planning and scheduling across metalliferous projects

• Manage projects from concept through to completion, ensuring technical standards

• Deliver robust, practical technical solutions that create real client value

• Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear, confident communication

• Mentor and develop junior engineers while strengthening team capability

About You

• A Bachelor of Engineering (Mining or related discipline)

• 10+ years of relevant experience (including at Principal level preferred)

• 5+ years of relevant experience (including at Senior level preferred)

• Proven project management capabilities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
