About this role

You’ll be based on site at Wormall Group’s head office in Cardup (near Byford), Monday to Friday.

Representing Wormall Group’s five divisions, you’ll be responsible for providing support to the HR Team and business leaders, as well as advising employees on employment conditions, entitlements, and career development.

Experience in the Building & Construction industry is not essential; however, this position requires someone with experience in supporting a large and diverse blue-collar workforce. This position is ideally suited to those who have a strong HRIS background (Employment Hero) and are looking to gain practical exposure in dealing with the varied and complex HR issues that occur in a multifaceted business.

What your day will look like

  • Handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Participating in change management initiatives across Wormall Group
  • Conducting workplace investigations and providing recommendations to resolve issues
  • Supporting the performance review process, including probation assessments and performance improvement plans
  • Be the systems expert for internal HRIS, dealing with any issues that arise through this system and its application
  • Providing advice on organisational policies, award interpretation, and HR best practices

Skillset needed

Please note that this is NOT a junior or entry level position. The following requirements are essential:

  • Minimum of a Diploma or Degree in Human Resource
  • Strong understanding of Fair Work Act and other relevant legislation
  • Ability to work independently, confidentially, and with integrity
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms (preferably Employment Hero) and MS Office Suite
  • Ability to interpret data and HR analytics experience
  • A current and valid Western Australian drivers’ licence
  • Ability to deal with conflicting and urgent deadlines
  • Unrestricted Australian working rights
