THE ROLE:
The Compliance and Warranty Manager is a critical role responsible for ensuring the ongoing compliance of Woodhouse products with relevant Australian Standards, regulations, and industry best practices. This role combines regulatory compliance, product quality assurance, and warranty management to uphold product reliability, customer satisfaction, and organisational risk management.
The Compliance and Warranty Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, product development, and post-sales support, to drive continuous improvement in product conformance, process efficiency, and customer support. This position requires a proactive approach to navigating regulatory changes, overseeing the warranty lifecycle, and fostering collaboration across various business functions to ensure Woodhouse products meet the highest quality standards.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure ongoing compliance with Australian Standards and the National Construction Code for all products.
- Manage due diligence systems in line with the Illegal Logging Prohibition Act and other regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the Head of Supply Chain to maintain and enhance certification programs (e.g., FSC, PEFC) and develop Modern Slavery Statements.
- Implement quality assurance inspections to confirm product alignment with production standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee product testing, including timber preservation, paint performance, formaldehyde emissions, and species verification.
- Lead compliance efforts for new product development, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation and pursuing necessary certifications.
- Manage the warranty process, ensuring efficient claims resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Develop post-sales support materials, including FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and training resources.
- Track and assess regulatory changes, ensuring timely updates to products, processes, and practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to integrate compliance into product strategies.
- Prepare detailed reports on compliance, quality assurance, and warranty activities for senior management.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Domestic travel as needed for compliance and warranty management.
- Occasional international travel may be required to support overseas supply chain compliance and factory audits.
