The Role
Toowoomba based, Civil Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of critical infrastructure projects through a range of civil works activities. These include trenching, excavation, conduit and cable laying, site preparation, and reinstatement, in support of electrical and communications installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate civil plant and machinery safely and efficiently
- Perform manual labour including digging, backfilling, and cable/conduit installation
- Maintain plant and tools in clean, working condition
- Adhere to safety procedures and environmental standards
- Collaborate with project supervisors and EFM’s on-site
What You’ll Need
- An operator who are proactive, safety-conscious
- Demonstrated experience in Civil Construction and Infrastructure Projects
- Cert III in Civil Excavation
- Relevant tickets and VOCs for plant and machinery operation
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- Current manual driver’s licence (MR/HR licence advantageous)
- Strong understanding of safety and environmental practices
- Ability to work away from home on rotating project-based rosters
- A positive attitude and commitment to teamwork.
