Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Wirraka Maya Health Service Aboriginal Corporation in South Hedland. As a vital member of our Clinic department, you will play a key role in providing high-quality healthcare services to the local community, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and culturally sensitive care.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients within the clinic setting.
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Participate in health promotion and education activities for patients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Adhere to relevant clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical practices and service delivery within the Organisation.
  • Provide direct nursing care, including wound dressing, vaccinations, and health assessments.
  • Support doctors and other healthcare professionals during medical examinations and procedures.
  • Collaborate with community members to promote culturally sensitive healthcare practices.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) Qualification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Postgraduate Qualification in Nursing Specialty (e.g., Child Health, Sexual Health)
  • Experience working with electronic medical record systems
  • Experience in general practice nursing
  • Experience administering medications and vaccinations
  • Time management and prioritisation skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong clinical nursing skills
