Position Snapshot

The Electrical Balance of Plant (EBOP) Project Engineer plays a key role in supporting the successful delivery of the EBOP scope for a utility-scale wind farm project. This includes responsibility across all stages of the project lifecycle, from detailed design and approvals through procurement, construction, commissioning, and transition to operations. Working within an integrated project team, the EBOP Project Engineer supports the EBOP Package Manager in overseeing the design and construct (D&C) contractor and coordinating multiple stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient project execution. The role involves technical coordination, contractor performance monitoring, and active participation in design reviews and construction activities to ensure outcomes meet project standards for safety, quality, cost, and schedule.

The EBOP scope encompasses significant electrical infrastructure, including:

  • 100 km of 33kV reticulation network
  • 23 km of 275kV transmission line
  • Two substations
  • Integration with a 100MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)

This role requires strong interface management across civil works, turbine supply, network service providers (NSP), OEMs, and regulatory authorities, along with a proactive approach to risk management and issue resolution.

The EBOP Project Engineer contributes to ensuring that all works are delivered in accordance with company governance, applicable standards, and legislative requirements, while fostering a strong safety culture and collaborative stakeholder relationships.

What Sets you apart!

Your background includes substation construction and installation, as well as HV reticulation systems, with a solid understanding of installation, testing, and compliance requirements. In addition, you have experience leading and coordinating electrical engineering teams, providing technical guidance and driving performance to achieve safe, high-quality project outcomes.
