Summary:

As a Level 2 Services Engineer (Cloud) member in the Delivery Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and support of cloud-based networks and services for our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to provide advanced technical support, addressing complex issues that go beyond the capabilities of Level 1 support. You will be the go-to expert for troubleshooting and resolving problems related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services.

In this role, you will also collaborate closely with Infrastructure Engineers and other Delivery Team members to deliver projects efficiently and effectively. Your expertise in Microsoft Azure will be crucial in maintaining the performance, security, and reliability of cloud environments. Additionally, you will help drive project delivery, ensuring that all implementations and upgrades are completed on time and meet client expectations.

You will also be responsible for implementing and adhering to cybersecurity frameworks, with a particular focus on the Essential 8 strategies. This will involve ensuring that our clients’ environments are secure and compliant with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for issues including virtual machines, storage, networking, and other cloud services.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues, escalating to Level 3 support or other specialists when necessary.
  • Assist in the configuration and deployment of resources, including virtual networks, databases, and application services.
  • Document solutions and best practices, contributing to the knowledge base for future reference and training purposes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, reduce downtime, and enhance the overall client experience.
  • Understand and implement cybersecurity frameworks, with a strong focus on the Essential 8.

Skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure services and architecture.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving Azure-related issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
  • Cybersecurity Knowledge: understanding of cybersecurity frameworks including but not limited to Essential 8 and SMB1001:2025.
  • Relevant tertiary IT qualifications and/or relevant applied industry experience.
  • Microsoft Certifications or the ability to quickly acquire: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), and Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500).
  • Suitable to obtain and maintain an AGSVA security clearance up to NV1.
