The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and internal promotion, Wild Desert is seeking skilled Diesel Mechanics to join our team in Roma on a 2/2 DIDO Roster.

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our heavy machinery, plant, equipment and vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related components
• Perform routine maintenance and servicing on a range of heavy-duty equipment
• Identify and resolve complex mechanical issues
• Maintain accurate records of all work completed
• Collaborate with the wider team to ensure efficient operations
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
• Complete work tasks as assigned in Business Management System

What we’re looking for

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic with at least 3 years’ experience
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and practical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to safety and quality standards
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Oil and Gas Field experience is favourable
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position
