West-trans Equipment is an Australian family-owned business with a national presence. We are a manufacturer and/or repairer for skip loader, hook lifters, truck mounted cranes and Hammar side lift trailers since 1994. We are also the Australian Distributor of HMF Cranes and have been the Australian agent for Hammar Australia for over 28 years.
Multiple positions available for Vehicle Body Builder/Fitter to join the West-Trans Equipment Group.
About the roles:
The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of loading machines and equipment, including side loaders, skel trailers, skip loaders, hook lifts and HMF vehicle loading cranes. Workshop is located at Mulgrave, NSW 2756.
This new position will help ensure we keep our customer care and service to the high level we are known for. We would like a keen to learn hands on trades person to continuously improve the reliability of the business.
Responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:
• Servicing and repairs to a wide arrange of side loaders, dog trailers, knuckle boom cranes, skip bin trucks, hook lift trucks and tarping systems
• Fitting out of new truck chassis and fitting brand new equipment
• Electrical diagnosis and repairs
• Fabrication repairs
• Static load testing of equipment
• Quality control checking
•
Skills / Experience:
• Proven experience in vehicle body building, fitting, welding, or heavy mechanics will be preferred (For trade assistant or labourer)
• Trade qualified will be essential (For Trailer mechanic, body builder, fabricator, fitter)
• Repairs and general services experiences are highly regarded.
• Experiences in Hydraulics and electrics would be advantageous.
