West-trans Equipment is an Australian family-owned business with a national presence. We are a manufacturer and repairer for skip loaders, hook lifters, truck mounted cranes and Hammar side lift trailers since 1994.
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Forklift Operator / Stores Person to join our team. This is a hands-on role involving warehouse, stores, and yard operations.
Key Duties
• Receive and unload incoming goods using a forklift
• Check deliveries against purchase orders and process delivery dockets
• Unload and store cranes and components from shipping containers
• Pick and pack spare parts for customer dispatch
• Coordinate with the Purchasing team to organise outgoing freight
• General forklift duties across factory and yard areas
• Complete daily forklift safety checks
• Ensure steel and stock are stored correctly and safely
• Maintain clean, tidy, and safe store, yard, and driveway areas
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages
Skills & Experience
• Current forklift licence (essential)
• Previous forklift and stores experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn
