Are you an experienced hospitality professional who thrives in a busy, customer‑focused venue? The Albion Hotel, Wickham is seeking a Venue Manager (3IC) to support daily operations, uphold venue standards, and lead team performance under the guidance of the General Manager.

About the Role:

As the Venue Manager (3IC), you’ll play a key leadership role in the day‑to‑day running of The Albion Hotel. You’ll assist in driving sales, overseeing service standards, coordinating rosters, and ensuring smooth operations across the bar, bistro, and gaming areas.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the General Manager with daily operations and trading strategies.
  • Assisting with rostering, training, coaching, and performance management of staff.
  • Maintaining service standards, venue presentation, and strict compliance with WHS, RSA, and responsible gaming requirements.
  • Working closely with management to achieve revenue, profitability, and customer‑service goals.
  • Managing stock control, cash handling, incident reporting, and compliance audits.
  • Handling guest feedback, complaints, and fostering repeat business opportunities.
  • Acting as the key point of contact for the team when senior management are not on site.

About You:

  • Proven management experience in hospitality (hotel, pub, bar, or similar operation).
  • Strong leadership and team‑development skills, with a hands‑on management style.
  • Solid understanding of WHS, RSA, and responsible service standards.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Current NSW RSA and unrestricted right to work in Australia.
