Summary:

As a Chef de Partie at Sawtell Hotel, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes that reflect our commitment to excellence in hospitality and catering. You will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, contributing to menu development, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. This position is ideal for a mid-senior level chef looking to advance their career in a vibrant and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the menu and standards set by the Head Chef.
  • Manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring efficient operation and timely service.
  • Assist in the development and planning of menus, including seasonal offerings.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and work areas, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management, ensuring minimal waste.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Excellent cooking skills and a passion for food presentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
