Casual Chef de Partie – Billy Barry’s Hotel, North Sydney

Billy Barry’s Hotel is seeking a skilled and passionate Casual Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team in North Sydney. This casual role is ideal for individuals with mid-senior level experience in hospitality, focusing on morning and lunch shifts to deliver high-quality dishes and memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Assist in the management of kitchen operations, including food preparation and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to develop new menu items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as required.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Creativity and a passion for food and cooking.
