We are seeking an energetic and technically confident Technical Sales – Motors (Internal) specialist to support the VIC/TAS/SA region from our Scoresby office. This is an office‑based internal sales position focused on inbound enquiries, technical support, quotation management and customer relationship building.

While motors are your core focus, you’ll also have the opportunity to develop capability across Soft Starters, Variable Speed Drives, Gearboxes and other complementary WEG product lines.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical know‑how and customer engagement — without external sales duties or field‑based travel.

⚡ What You’ll Do

Position yourself as a trusted technical expert across WEG’s portfolio in an internal, office‑based capacity:

  • Provide high-level technical support on motors to customers, engineering firms, OEMs and internal teams.
  • Deliver compelling training sessions and product presentations.
  • Review and interpret technical specifications to recommend fit‑for‑purpose solutions.
  • Convert inbound enquiries into valuable sales opportunities.
  • Prepare quotations, pricing and availability for sales partners.
  • Liaise directly with WEG factories regarding technical and commercial matters.
  • Represent WEG in customer and engineering meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, OH&S and company standards.
  • Engage across broader WEG product ranges — including SS, VSD, and Gears — building cross‑functional sales knowledge and contributing to multi‑product solutions.

🎯 What You Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Strong technical knowledge of AC electric motors (this is essential).
  • Relevant tertiary qualification OR 3–5 years’ hands‑on experience with motors.
  • Ability to analyse technical issues and provide clear, effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in technical sales, customer-facing engineering or similar.
  • Confidence delivering presentations or training.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Customer-focused, results-driven mindset.

Highly Advantageous:

  • Experience with Soft Starters, VSDs, Gears or automation products.
  • Business degree or diploma.
  • Previous sales engineering experience.
  • Awareness of IEC and Australian standards
