Business Development Manager

Robina, Queensland 4226, Australia • Full-time

Description

Energy C&I Business Development Manager | Power Up Your Career in Robina!

Are you a high-energy sales professional who knows their way around a complex tender and a CRM? Do you love the thrill of the hunt but also value the art of long-term relationship building? Watt Utilities is looking for our next C&I Business Development Manager to join our team in the heart of Robina. We aren’t just looking for a “salesperson”, we’re looking for a technical expert, a proactive problem solver, and a team player who treats our energy retailers with the same respect as our customers.

The Role: Why You’ll Love It

Reporting to the Energy Manager Team Leader, you will lead the charge in acquiring new Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customers while ensuring our key accounts feel the love. This is a hybrid role, offering the perfect balance of focused office time in Robina and the flexibility to manage your portfolio autonomously.

Your day-to-day will look like:

The Hunt: Proactively identifying and acquiring new C&I customers who need Watt Utilities’ expertise.

The Strategy: Professionally guiding clients on the best deals, market insights, and other value-add services.

The Relationship: Managing key accounts face-to-face, identifying cross-sell opportunities, and resolving disputes with retailers or metering providers.

The Collaboration: Working alongside our Energy Analysts and Tech team to ensure our data is sharp and our retention rates are high.

What You’ll Bring:

Performance-Driven: At least 2 years in a Business Development role with a proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding KPIs and sales targets.

Industry Savvy: Experience in energy, telco, or strata/body corporate industries will get you to the front of the line.

Technical Chops: An analytical, solution-finding mind that enjoys working with numbers and intermediate Excel skills.

Communication: Top-tier written and verbal skills; you can explain complex energy markets to a client just as easily as you can write a formal proposal.

Vibe: A positive, “customer-first” attitude and the ability to work both autonomously and as a supportive team member.

Why Join Watt Utilities? You’ll be part of a Gold Coast-based team that values great customer service, professionalism, and a proactive culture. Whether you’re attending industry networking events or providing win-win solutions to clients, you’ll have a direct impact on how we grow.

Ready to energize your career? Apply now and show us why you’re the perfect fit for the Watt Utilities family!
