Calling all qualified Chef’s, with bulk cooking experience in a Camp/Village looking for a Full-time/Casual Chef position working in our workforce camp in Emerald!

About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Swing Chef 2 weeks on: 1 week off in our Pritchard Road Village in Emerald.
These positions will require you to live locally or travel to work each swing (at your own cost) – this is NOT a FIFO position.
We provide top level customer service and support to our clients and guests, and we are looking for reliable applicants to join our fast-paced team in ensuring our facilities meet that standard.

Responsibilities:
- Plan the menu and prepare tasty, fresh and wholesome food tailored to your clients.
- Assist the client in maintaining and driving a safe working culture.
- Work to meet food-cost targets & other initiatives
- Be part of and lead a small team that works effectively together every day.
- Take ownership of the wellbeing of your peers, customers and others in the camp.
- Cooking Breakfast, Crib, Lunch and Dinner meals for 100-150 guests
- Bulk style cooking – 200 guests per day
- Willing to work day and night shifts (one week of days and one week of nights)
To be considered for the role you will need to have:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Sound professional cooking experience including menu preparation
- Demonstrated understanding of HSE & Food Safety
- Sound and clear communication skills
- Eligibility to live and work in Australia
- Proven experience with bulk cooking (70-100 guests)
While not essential, you will also ideally have:
- Experience or understanding of remote Hospitality Services
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- A National Police Clearance (valid within 6 months)
- Proven right to work in Australia
