Responsibilities:

Lead Alongside the Centre Director: Work in partnership with the Centre Director to support the day-to-day operations and help guide the centre’s vision, culture, and success.

Mentor & Inspire: Be a mentor for the team, creating a positive, collaborative vibe where everyone thrives and feels supported.

Quality & Compliance Champion: Support the centre to consistently meet regulatory requirements and quality standards, promoting best practice through a calm, organised, and approachable leadership style.

Family Champion: Create welcoming, trusting connections with families, collaborating to nurture each child’s unique learning journey and sense of belonging.

Centre Innovator: Bring fresh ideas, initiative, and creative thinking to enhance programs, practices, and the overall centre experience for children, families, and staff.

Child-Centred Organisation Advocate: Actively uphold and promote a child-centred organisation by ensuring all decisions, practices, environments, and team behaviours prioritise the safety, wellbeing, rights, voice, and best interests of every child.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent) or a Diploma in Early Childhood Education
- Current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience within a Senior Leadership role or Assistant Centre Director role with the confidence and ambition to step into early childhood education
- Excellent leadership, communication and relationship- building skills
- A genuine passion for creating engaging, inclusive, and inspiring learning environments
- Confident problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach challenges calmly and thoughtfully
- In-Depth Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Regulations, and quality improvement practices
