Corporate Travel Sales Manager – Sydney

Summary:

Reporting to the Head of Sales, the aim is to achieve sales targets by promoting and selling the company’s services and products to existing and new customers. Make a positive contribution to the growth and profitability of the business by identifying and winning new business opportunities.

Key Accountabilities

• Conduct market research to identify prospects across target verticals and understand their travel needs

• Using a range of initiatives to identify, pursue and progress new business opportunities through the sales cycle

• Act as the primary point of contact for your prospects to build, develop and maintain strong and successful relationships

• Work with Bid Team to manage, prepare and present compelling sales proposals, presentations and follow-up

• Manage, attend and present at external prospect/customer meetings, events and internal meetings

• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and company goals

• Supported by our commercial team, negotiate and manage contracts and agreements for new clients and renewals

• Collaborate with the Implementation Team and other departments across Gray Dawes to ensure seamless service delivery

• Work closely with the sales team to share industry knowledge, best practices and support each other in achieving sales objectives

• As required, mentor and coach junior sales team members, providing guidance and support for their professional development

• Build and maintain a professional network across the travel industry, keeping up to date with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions

• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences

Experience

• Proven record of sales success in sales role within a service environment

• Identification and development of new business opportunities through to fulfilment

• Negotiating with key decision makers

• Previous TMC experience

Skills/Knowledge

• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite

• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills

• Results orientated self-starter with the ability to prioritise own workload

• Microsoft Dynamics CRM

• Industry knowledge

• Understanding of tendering and pricing processes

Attitude/Aptitude

• Ability to develop and maintain good customer relationships

• Able to accurately assess customer needs and expectations

• Motivated by the achievement of targets

• Able to assimilate information and knowledge accurately

• Respond positively when under pressure to achieve targets and deadlines

• Existing knowledge of current trends and conditions within the Business Travel industry

Special Requirements

• Able to travel within Australia and stay away from home as required

• A professional image when representing the company

• Able to attend out-of-hours events, training and presentations

• Full, clean driving license
