Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Account Manager to join our established sales team, servicing Queensland and The Northern Territory.

The Role

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role is responsible for driving sales growth across Queensland and The Northern Territory, building strong customer relationships, and promoting the Yutong brand within the Australian bus industry.

Skills, Experience & Attributes

  • Excellent people and communication skills, with the ability to build strong customer relationships
  • Australian bus industry experience preferred; truck or related automotive sales experience highly regarded
  • Previous sales or sales management experience in a related market
  • Strong organisational skills with a proactive, results‑driven approach
  • Technical understanding of buses and the ability to advise customers on specifications and options
  • Sound knowledge of licensing and legal requirements relevant to the bus industry
  • Experience using CRM systems (Pentana desirable)
  • Current heavy vehicle driver’s licence

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new customers and sales opportunities across QLD and NT
  • Build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective bus customers
  • Promote Yutong products and represent the VDI Australia brand with professionalism and integrity
  • Achieve sales targets and KPIs while pursuing profitable growth opportunities
  • Prepare sales quotations and maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts
  • Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to coordinate bus pre‑delivery and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Analyse the QLD and NT market to identify new business opportunities
  • Respond to post‑sale enquiries and proactively follow up to ensure customer expectations are met
  • Attend and support Bus Shows, Conferences, Regional Seminars, and industry events
  • Undertake regular travel within QLD and NT, with occasional interstate and overseas travel
  • Support and promote sustainability initiatives
  • Remain up to date with industry regulations, associations, and competitor products
  • Prepare customer presentations and internal reports using MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
