About the role
The Internal Auditor is responsible for delivering a risk-based audit program that strengthens governance, compliance, and organisational performance. Working closely with the Executive Team and Risk Committee, the role leads internal audits, evaluates the effectiveness of controls, and ensures alignment with regulatory requirements.
This position identifies risks and improvement opportunities, providing clear, evidence-based recommendations that support continuous quality improvement. The Internal Auditor also drives audit readiness and applies best-practice standards to enhance efficiency, accountability, and outcomes across the organisation.
About You
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in internal auditing or a related field.
- Experience in human and community services, with strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to conduct audits, assess controls, and monitor organisational compliance.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and a structured approach to reporting .
- Clear communicator, able to deliver concise, evidence-based audit findings Demonstrates integrity, sound judgement, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and culturally aware, with the ability to work across diverse teams.
- Committed to continuous improvement and staying current with industry standards and best practices .
