About the role

The HR Operations Advisor plays a critical role in providing customer-focused HR advice and ensuring compliance across HRIS systems at . This position supports the HR Operations Manager in managing HRIS systems, conducting audits, and providing insightful reporting to meet organisational needs. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to improve HR processes, manage employee data, and support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding activities. You will support the HR Partnering team dealing with employee relations queries, providing advice and guidance on HR policy and procedure, and contribute to HR-related projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure HRIS systems maintain compliance and continuously improve efficiencies.
  • Conduct audits, liaise on compliance issues, and provide HR data reporting.
  • Support payroll processing and HRIS updates.
  • Provide HR advice to staff and managers across the full employee life cycle, ensuring compliance with EBA’s policy and procedure.
  • Collaborate on recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and process improvements.
  • Contribute to HR policies, projects, and the broader team’s initiatives.

Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field, with 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong experience working with HRIS systems and advanced reporting capabilities. In-depth knowledge of Fair Work, with the ability to interpret EBAs, policies, and statutory instruments.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data capture and written communication.
  • Advanced skills in HRIS workflows, payroll processes, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines under pressure.
