About the role:
- We’re in search for a WHS Manager who will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of employees at UBS. The role will oversee WHS policies, procedures, contractor safety compliance and incident management to ensure compliance with Australian regulations. The WHS Manager will collaborate with various departments to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement, ultimately contributing to the overall success of UBS, specifically:
- Lead the improvement of WHS across the business, monitoring and implementing change to safety systems where required
- Providing guidance and ensuring every job is completed safely
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in line with legislative requirements
- Conduct site visits, audits and inspections in line with scheduled audits and compliance requirements.
- Provide WHS Induction, training and support to staff on health and safety practices and procedures.
- Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement across the organisation.
About you:
- Qualification in Work Health & Safety (Diploma or higher)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a WHS role in construction environment
- Experience in conducting site inspections, audits and incident investigation
- Strong knowledge of Australian health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
