This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join our team in Willawong, Queensland where you will manage small domestic insurance repair building projects.

About the role:

The role sits within our Projects Team with a key focus on coordinating repairs and maintenance for residential homes affected by insurable events. You will work closely with Project Managers, internal claims coordinators, subcontractors, property owners, and insurance companies to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of repairs.

Responsibilities

• Day to day management of repair claims and document preparation

• Coordinate and monitor the progress of repairs for claims under $20,000 from the office

• Liaise with the property owners, trades, sub-contractors, and clients over the phone at all stages of the repair process

• Make initial contact with the property owners to advise works proceeding and relevant trades being appointed

• Determine and appoint the appropriate internal trades and subcontractors to complete building repairs

• Liaise with Building Consultants where necessary to ensure that there is a clear understanding of works and liaise with trade personnel regarding the scope repairs required

• Place work orders with trades and subcontractors

• Scheduling of trades and subcontractors to ensure KPIs are met

• Manage the expenditure of every claim, and manage all works in WIP status within specified timeframes

• Organise Makesafes, and Inspect & Reports as required

• Complete updates and variations as required on each repair for the insurer

• Regular communication with Customers to keep them informed of repair

• Work closely with insurance companies and provide formal updates on progress

• Update internal and external claims management databases, recording progress and completion.

• Assist in the administration of the Outlook Calendar for the work allocated to internal trades

• Advise Clients of variations to Scope of Work (SOW) and costs as necessary

• Work within all government, statutory requirements and insurance guidelines meeting KPIs

• Provide support to other team members as required

• Perform other related duties as required

About you:

• An aptitude to solve problems and sound decision-making capabilities

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to successfully manage customer expectations and complaints

• A confident and friendly demeanour, with a willingness to respond to customers with a positive approach

• The ability to work without supervision, as well as in a team-oriented collaborative environment and be a team player

• Sound written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail, listening and relationship building skills

• Experience with Microsoft suite

• Experience working in insurance or have a trade background would be desirable but not essential.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Driver Licence (100 points identification)

• Current Clear National Police Check
